Inverted teardrop shaped glass art pendant with dichroic glass which shimmers from shades of aqua to blue. It has a mirror like finish which catches the light beautifully. The glass has been etched to bring out the black underneath the dichroic coating in a wavy freeform pattern and then framed with a bevel.

I created this pendant in my home studio by layering the pieces of black and dichroic glass and then fusing them in my kiln. Next I etched the pattern into the dichroic layer to bring up the black underneath. I cut and ground the pendant to shape and sent it back into the kiln for polishing.

The pendant measures approximately 1.75in (4.5cm) from top to bottom and .75in (2cm) at the widest part.

She remembered brushing off her face saying "I wasn't going to cry" so long ago when he had to leave. She touched the beautiful drop pendant he had given her which shimmered her favorite shades of blue and bright aqua. He had pointed to the lines designed into the glass and said they reminded him of the many roads he would have to travel without her. He said he looked forward to walking the road that would bring him back.

Now, as she stood at the end of the airport concourse he came walking down that road, tossing down his duffle bag and taking her in his arms. She laughed as he brushed her face and said "I wasn't going to cry"!!
