DETAILS: These vintage 1920s heels are just wonderful, classic with a twist! They are styled with a rounded toebox and a sturdy yet graceful heel. The Mary Jane style straps are cut out in a curvy feminine design that hints at Art Nouveau influences.

SIZE: Labeled with numbers that do not translate to a size for me. I would estimate 6 to 6.5. My spokesmodel, who usually wears a size 7, was able to stand in these, but not comfortably.

Length, heel to toe, inside - 9.25" (23.5cm)
Widest part of outer sole - 2.9" (7.4cm)
Heel height - 2.75" (7cm)

MATERIALS/COLORS: The outers are done in smooth leather, camel/tan. The lining is a combination of cream twill fabric in front and tan leather in back. Outer soles are composition, dark beige.

CLOSURES: The shoes slip on and tie at the top of the foot with your choice of soft laces - I consulted Jonathan Walford, vintage shoe expert and author of The Seductive Shoe, who feel that the original laces would have been made of similarly colored flat braid, somewhat like modern flat shoe laces but with fringed ends. I have shown the shoes in a few photos with gauzy red ribbon, just to illustrate how the shoe might look tied - the ribbon is not included with purchase.

CONDITION: From the barely scratched condition of the outer soles, I think these were tried on but never worn. The original heelcaps were brittle and I had them replaced. The interior of the left shoe shows some spotty stains that must have been acquired while in storage - see closeup.
