Product Description
DETAILS: A classic 1940s double breasted suit jacket, worthy of a Hollywood banker or gangster! Padded shoulders, wide peaked lapels, fitted through the body, double breasted and slimming. No back vent. The jacket front and sleeves are fully lined, the back has the upper lining only, typical of the era.

SIZE: No size label
Chest - 38.5" (97.75cm)
Shoulders - 17.5" (44.5cm)
Waist - 35" (89cm)
Length - 30.5" (77.5cm)
Sleeve length - 24.5" (62cm)

FABRIC/COLORS: Dark blue wool gabardine suiting. The lining is a matte finish acetate-type satin, ecept for the sleeves, lined in white.

TAGS: The Original Utah Woolen Mills, Jack Frost Woolen Wear, "Dependability" Salt Lake City. Monograms of BF, and inside the lining pocket is "bespoke" information - the jacket was made for a Mr Bert Thompson dated 6/24/1946.

CLOSURES: Six outer buttons, two of them functional. One inner button - all are dark blue plastic saucer rimmed. Three smaller matching buttons on each sleeve cuff.

CONDITION: Two small holes noted, one on the right rear shoulder and the other on the right front about 5" above the bottom edge - see closeup. The front one was a little more noticeable because of lighter colored facing behind it - I used a dark blue sharpee on the underlying white cloth and it blended in nicely - see other closeup. No other issues noted.
