Product Description
This is the print that was reproduced by Robert Kaufman recently (Booster Club: Girlfriends by Darlene Zimmerman).

It is an original feedsack cotton fabric with ladies printed in red, with red, blue and pink bubbles surrounding her. You can feel the coarse but soft texture of the material that was an ingenious method of feedsack manufacturers to get housewives to purchase their products.

Matching blue trim
Waist tie apron
Pocket on right with blue trim.
Handmade?
Cotton
(teeny) Tiny hand crocheted blanket stitches around edges.
Scalloped along bottom of apron.

Flaws:
Some of crocheted blanket stitch details around edges are coming loose or missing (see pictures).
Small rips and tears at pocket corners. Had already been repaired so reinforced with similar white thread stitching.
Small rips and tears around edges of trim. Hand repaired with white thread.
This fabric is just worn and has been washed many times so the fibers are weak so Ieft some of the smaller holes alone because to repair them would have meant stressing the fabric more.

If you love this print I would only bring it out on special occasions or use for display. But please feel free to love it and use it because these were meant to be enjoyed.

Hand wash/soaking preferred using a wash and dry method for vintage linens. Pre-soak any stains. Do not use bleach.

70" wide across straps and waist
20" from waist to bottom

All of our linens are purchased during our thriftiqueing adventures because we love the color or designs and we want to share them with you. Some of them might be vintage. Fabrics are so hard to date and we are not experts. We will try to give you as much information as we can find on the prints.

We believe that you should purchase something because you love it NOT just because it is old or 'worth' something. Bring these into your homes and use them for every day or special occasions.

When you purchase vintage, especially things used in the kitchen, they tend to get stained, rips, tears or seams pulling apart from use. It shows that the item was used and loved. If handmade I can just imagine the backstory of how it came into existence. Almost all the linens we find are washed, ironed and any repairs made before selling. Care instructions are included with your purchase.
