From my studio, is a wonderful pair of Silver Soldered Filigree earrings of my own design. There are about six hours of work in this pair! Every bit of metal in the entirety of both earrings is Sterling Silver. The asymmetric filigree drops are suspended on lever back ear wires and lovely briolettes of sapphire blue Chalcedony are suspended as additional ornamentation. Length of the earrings is fraction under 2 1/2 inches with an overall width of 1 inch. A terrific size for a lacy show of Silver, but exceptionally comfortable in weight. Gemstones are difficult to photograph. This pair is far more beautiful in hand than the picture shows!

Jeanne Rhodes-Moen published a book not long ago titled, "Silver Threads". I purchased the book and was enchanted with the tutorials offered. I got out pencil and sketch pad, then released my muse to wander. After a short while certain themes and shapes became my own and this pair of earrings was born.
