Temperance is a handmade wire-wrapped pendant necklace made with Amethyst chips and a purple Chalcedony stone.
Dark copper colored wire is twisted and formed to create the a pendant drool worthy enough for the Greek Goddess that you are. Amethyst chips are woven onto the pendant in clusters; the different shades of each stone creating a symphony of colors when combined.
At the base of the pendant is a Chalcedony square as the focal to this handmade necklace, making the euphony of the pendant complete.
To compliment the harmony in the stones, the necklace held together by an array of ribbons. Brown, lavender, and white ribbons entwine and tie at your desired length.

There is a Greek legend of how amethyst got its purple color. Once, Dionysus (deity of wine and mischief) was so annoyed by Artemis (a virgin huntress and Lunar deity) that he set his sacred tigers upon a maiden attending her shrine. To preserve the maiden, whose name was Amethyst, Artemis petrified her in sparkling quartz. Lamenting this virgin's demise, Dionysus poured a the contents of his cup over the statue, which immediately became infused with the purple of the grape.
