This wonderful quilt is made up of Thirty six Log Cabin style blocks of an midnight navy, almost black, and a beautiful traditional Amish inspired Deep Burgundy solids , in warm tones, and Gold centers giving this wonderful quilt top a masculine feel.

This quilt is inspired by a published original Amish quilt from Lancaster Pa. circa 1890. Its gold centers give this already phenomenal quilt even more eye appeal, and desirability, and was also the central focus of this original.

These are made in the standard log cabin style of ½ dark and ½ light colored fabrics. These are then arranged into a traditional Amish inspired pattern called Sunshine and Shadows. This is due to the effect created by the areas of Burgundy and then the shadows are reflected by the darker Midnight background.

The borders of this quilt are a simple 2 part border made up of strips of the Matching fabrics , framing the intricate center panel with the simplicity the Amish are known for.

This design is also available in a slightly lighter burgundy in one of our other listings. This is a very masculine quilt, that is Perfect for the man in your life. It is a reproduction of a published original.

The fabrics used are all Quilt Shop Quality 100% Cottons and cotton Blends.

Again this sale is for this QUILT TOP only and not a pre-quilted quilt , this is NOT a QUILT KIT. It is an Assembled Quilt top that we use in the production of our many quilts , but we have recently been ask if we could also offer these tops for sale UN-QUILTED to the public so that "they" could quilt them for themselves as they enjoy the pastime of hand quilting.

I saw the original of this quilt top in a local Lancaster store in the early 1990's. Since then it was purchased, and now is published in a couple of books on Amish ans antique quilts in general. This is a very graphic, Masculine design.
