Here is a collection of vintage knitting patterns for baby wear from 1944. All patterns are size 1 year (chest 20 in., waist 19.5 inches. The pattern is titled "Baby Talk" and is from Botany Worsted Mills. 7 patterns in all.

Patterns include:
Seed stitch cardigan with ribbon front tie and embellished yoke. Matching seed stitch bonnet.

Boys 3 pc. set-pullover with knit sailboat embellishment, shorts, beret hat

Pullover sweater with mini cable yoke.

Garter stitch baby blanket with crochet shell edging.

I rescued this wonderful pattern from a vintage knitting catalog that was published in 1944. There are so many wonderful treasures just waiting to be found when sorting through vintage estates. I love to find these and put them in a format that preserves them and protects them from the ravages of time and, heaven forbid, the dumpster when an unsuspecting relative doesn't know what they have found.
