Black freshwater pearls and faceted lavender pearls are wire wrapped into a chunky, earthy, organic style to create uniquely fabulous earrings.

The coin shaped black pearls are a deep, rich, midnight black and are a beautiful stark contrast to the bright sterling silver wire and pastel lavender pearls.

I love the contradiction that is presented by the design of these earrings. I usually think of pearls as being set in very soft, feminine styles, but these earring are bold and chunky, with an almost tribal look to them. While they will be beautiful with your favorite party dress, I can really see them with slacks and a cozy, bulky knit sweater. They would be perfect for that important business meeting when looking your best, is as important as what you say.

Black is a color that isn't bound by any season, and shades of lavender, orchid, and purple are on Pantone's chart of hot colors this season. There really aren't very many color combinations that wouldn't work beautifully with these sassy, playful, and absolutely unique earrings!

The pearls are all freshwater pearls, and all metal is sterling silver.

* Earrings hang 1.5" (3.8cm) from top of sterling silver leverbacks
* Black coin pearls = 11mm (about 5.5mm thick)
* Lavender pearls = 5mm
