Mother of Pearl wavy donuts in shades of brown, white, and cream, surround hypersthene discs in this pair of handmade earrings.

The hypersthene is such a deep, rich, dark brown that in certain light it looks black. It has a beautifully polished luster that compares nicely with the brilliant sheen of the shell. Two tiny black onyx spheres are threaded onto the sterling headpin to fill the space above and below the hypersthene, which turns freely within the "doughnut hole".

One side of the mother of pearl circles are shades of brown, while the other side is splashed with creamy white.

These are larger than most of the earrings I make, but they're still medium lightweight and comfortable to wear. I usually wear very lightweight earrings, but I could wear these without difficulty or discomfort.

Hypersthene = 10mm
Onyx = 2mm
