Australian Gaspeite is featured in this pair of artisan designed and crafted sterling silver earrings. The faceted gemstone briolettes are a bright apple green with warm caramel and chocolate matrix.

Sparking faceted smoky quartz spheres sit at the top of this simple design, perfectly complimenting the shades of brown in the focal stones.

I wrapped the stones tightly in bright sterling silver wire, and dropped them from simple hinged leverback findings. Other earwire options are available, and are listed below.

Gaspeite is one of my favorite stones on earth. It's found only in Australia and Canada (and possibly Tasmania.) The color is bright and wonderful, varying from lime green to apple green to neon green. It's also becoming very rare and difficult to find, which makes it quite expensive. I've had a few strands in my "stash" for a number of years, and because I've never been able to find more that are of the same quality, I don't use them very often, making it fun and special when I do.

If you love earthy, raw, organic stones that were created by Mother Nature herself, you will love Gaspeite! Please be wary of people who are selling "turquoise gaspeite." There is no such thing. Turquoise and Gaspeite are two completely different minerals.

Earrings hang a petite 1 3/8" (3.3cm) from top of ear wires.

All wire and other metal components are sterling silver.
