Handmade olive oil based soap that forms a luscious, thick lotion-like lather. Scented with a light vanilla fragrance oil and NO added colorants, this is a great shaving soap for men or women and gentle enough to use on babies.

Our soap is slightly superfatted so the longer you leave it on the more moisturized your skin becomes. This makes it excellent for shaving.

This listing is for one bar, which we recommend you cut in half (put the other half in your sock drawer or linen cabinet until needed) and keep dry when not in use.

When used daily as hand soap and stored in a dry soap dish, half a bar will last about a month.

I am allergic to coconut oil soap, so I started making castille soap several years ago.

If you have hard water and desire a frothy lather, you'll need to work it up a little more than with a coconut-oil based soap. Castille soap produces a 'tight' lather, which is thick and rich, almost like a lotion.

The soap-making process produces glycerine, which attracts water. We recommend not keeping your soap in the shower or other moist environment in order to prolong its life.
