The artisan made southwest style turquoise earrings with hammered copper from Owl Hollow Studio's jewelry collection have an unusual eye catching double hoop design. The smaller inner hoop is a solid ring of copper wire wrap filled with genuine turquoise from the MaAnshan mine with beautiful natural colors ranging from bright sky blue to medium blue green and even olive green. The turquoise pebbles are wire wrapped onto the inner edge of the ring, with a grade A larger oval turquoise stone suspended at the center. The turquoise filled ring is attached in a manner that allows it to sway back and forth independently of the larger ring. The larger outer ring of hammered copper is 1 3/4 inches in diameter. The length or drop of these fascinating turquoise earrings is 2 1/2 inches, measured from the top arch of the copper ear wire. Backs are included. All parts of these earrings were artisan hand forged. The copper was given an aged, antique type oxidized patina to highlight the hammered texture and complement the beautiful colors of the turquoise.
