Artisan handmade in a balinese style, these wire wrapped earrings from Owl Hollow Studio feature blue opal glass teardrops. The beautiful glowing blue glass in a chubby teardrop shape is fine quality glass from the Czech Republic, renowned for its many forms of glass and cut crystal. The light hydrangea blue glass is opal glass. In bright light opal glass almost seems to glow from within as an opal gemstone would, hence the name. The wire wrapped earrings are made in a balinese type style with several loops and spirals of blackened annealed steel which has been buffed and polished to reveal highlights of bright silver---a lovely two toned effect. The shepherd hook ear wires are made of sterling silver, with backs included. The length or drop on the earrings is 1 3/4 inches, measured from the top arch of the ear wires.
