Vintage 1950's Marvella Double Strand Pearl Rhinestone Necklace

Beautiful pearls. Always lovely, always always *always* perfect for any occasion.

Here is a gorgeous 1950's Marvella double strand pearl necklace with an exquisite rhinestone encrusted clasp.

The pearls are creamy and lustrous and the rhinestone'd clasp is bright and clear. Clearly marked twice "MARVELLA" on the clasp's reverse to indicate a pre-1955 creation, the excellent quality rhodium-plated clasp closes smoothly and easily and all rhinestones are here.

The necklace was created by off-setting 2 strand of knotted 8mm glass pearls from one clasp ~ the shorter strand measuring 28" (71.1 cm) and the longer measuring 29" (73.7 cm). The clasp is wonderfully ornate escutcheon encrusted with rhinestones and 4 smaller glass pearls and measures approximately 1.5" (3.8 cm).

It's a gorgeous vintage piece ~ perfect for that little black dress, unexpected and gorgeous for denim.
