Vintage 1983 Kay Nielsen Fairy Tale Lithographs From "East of the Sun and West of the Moon: Old Tales of the North"

A gorgeous paper featuring 2 Kay Nielsen illustrations, gleaned from a damaged a 1983 reference book on children's book illustrations.

Both luscious prints were included in the 1922 volume, 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon: Old Tales from the North' and the captions and stories are ~

'And flitted away as far as they could from the Castle that lay East of the Sun and West of the Moon', from "East of the Sun and West of the Moon"

and

'The Lad in the Bear's skin, and the King of Arabia's daughter', from "The Blue Belt"

The paper measures 8.25" x 11" (21x28 cm) and both prints are enormously frame-worthy. The paper is heavy with no tears, no folds, creases, or marks. Perfect for collage, altered art ~ a beautiful framed gift for the new baby's room.
