Vintage 1948 Mid Century French Province of LAlsace et La Lorraine Folk Costume and Provincial Map

Saved from a very sweet 1948 travel book featuring food, fashion, and sights of Paris and the French Provinces, here is a most frame-able map and the folk costume from the French Province, LAlsace et La Lorraine .

The French text is lovely, the cartography is bright and in an olde world map styling. This is a center-fold page with a straight fold down the vertical. The double page measures 6.5" x 9.25" (17x24 cm) and the paper and illustrations remain bright and clear 60+ years later.

With a light tanning at the edges to betray those 60+ years ~ the paper has no tears, creases, or marks. The 4 binding-threads holes can be clearly seen along the center fold-line ~ please see the final photograph for a close up view.

A sweet subject to frame or perhaps suited for your art ~ perfect for card and page making ... for collage, decoupage.

You are purchasing an original 1948 paper and it does not have watermarks. Ill send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
