Barbie Country Fair #1603 Orange Clutch, Purse, Shoes Complete Outfit

The Barbie Country Fair 1603 outfit includes a full-gathered skirt, a bright yellow, cotton body blouse, an orange clutch purse and matching orange, open-toed high heels.

The skirt is designed with full gathers, a front, top-stitched inverted pleat, with front pocket. The fabric is a very clean, orange and multi-colored floral print. It has the original label and inspection tag (see picture). I made a minor repair to the original snap closure by sewing one snap piece onto the other side of the waistband. If you look closely, you can see that the thread color is slightly different. Can you tell which is the 1964 stitching and which is the 2011 stitching? (answer at the bottom of the Inspiration/Story section)

The cotton body blouse is a very clean, sunny yellow color. It has the original button and snap closure (see picture) and the original label.

The orange open-toed heels have the "JAPAN" mark (see picture) and are in excellent condition. They are still a bright color and show no flaws.

The orange clutch bag still has the original clasp and bead closure. The bead is still attached, although the thread is loose. There is a small scuff mark below the top right corner of purse, above the bead (see picture). There is a tiny split on the "join" edge inside of clutch. It was difficult to get a good picture without risking further splitting. The clutch is still in very good condition for being 47 years old.

This item will be shipped in a padded envelope.

I'm the original owner of this complete Barbie Country Fair outfit. It's in excellent vintage condition because my Mother INSISTED that I look after my dolls! Everything had to be put away neatly inside my Barbie case (a future listing perhaps) after I was finished playing.

I still remember playing "Barbies" with my best friend Audrey. Her Dad was an architect and he built her the neatest Barbie house. We had so much fun playing for hours on end!

ANSWER: I sewed the snap that is above the label.
