This beautiful hand knitted & felted mini top hat is made from 100 % self patterning wool. The pattern came out in stripes of beautiful shades of green. It has a small brim which is accentuated by a cream ribbon band that has a lime green circular pattern on it. The shape is of a wide top that tapers in towards the base of the hat and out again at the brim, gives it a jaunty look. It is 14cm (5.5 inches) high and measures 31cm (12 inches) around the brim base.

These hats are perfect for pinning to your hair (hair pins are not provided with this hat), to go with a special outfit, or to wear attached to falls or dreads that have been tied up. They are great for fancy dress, clubbing or to top of a burlesque / belly dancing outfit. There are so many ways to wear them and they look really cute!

This hat comes with a pinning strip around the inside of its brim, but it can be attached to a hair comb or Alice band if you prefer. Leave a message in the customer notes if you would like me to do this.

The process of making these hats is fairly long. Firstly the hat gets hand knitted to about twice the size the finished hat will be and then it is hand felted down to its finished size. This can take two or three washings and drying to achieve the finished effect. I do not machine wash them to do this as I have found that it ruins the colours.
