Do you have kids that won't eat their greens? Are vegetables a foreign concept in your home? Well how about starting off with these cute crochet Carrots. There are four orange carrots all of different sizes still with green stalks attached

If you have a family that loves their veg as much as mine do and you grow your own carrots, you could hide these in amongst the carrot fronds before sending the kids out to pull the carrots for supper. Imagine their excitement at finding them there.

These carrots, were crochet from orange and green acrylic yarn and have 2 black safety eyes each. They are stuffed with polyester fibres that conform to the BS5852-2 fire retardancy standards.

Large carrot measures 13 cm (5.25 inches) tall not including stalks with and 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) at the widest part.
Next down in size is 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) tall and 4 cm (1.5 inches) at the widest part.
The second smallest stands at 9.25 cm (3.5 inches) tall and is 3.5 cm (1.25 inches)
The very smallest measures 7 cm (2.75 inches) long by 3.5 cm (1.25 inches)

These Carrots are NOT suitable for children under the age of 36 months.

Whilst planting out my veg last year my neighbours children kept asking me what I was doing, why and would they be able to try some of what grows. It became apparent to me that a lot of children now days do not know where their food comes from as they have only ever seen it packaged up in a supermarket. I promised myself I would make some crochet or knitted vegetables to encourage children to get more interested in where their food comes from. I was planning to put a packet of seeds for the type of veg in with the crochet ones, but I have since been told that I cannot do that because of seed importing laws, and as I sell a lot of my goodies from this shop to overseas customers I would be breaking import laws in many countries. So I have decided to send out instructions on how to grow the vegetable with them instead.
