Cracked light grayish blues over deep black Obsidian are beautiful in this oval shaped stone, skillfully wrapped with silver in an original design by Bridget.

Called Snowflake Obsidian, it is a unique stone with combinations of cristobalite nodules in obsidian. The cristobalite spots are called spherulites.

The lighter colored splotches appear like beautiful patterns of snowflakes against a striking black background.

This stone measures approximately 1 inch tall and 1/2 inch wide. (2.5 cm by 1.3 cm). It is a great long oval shape, and not very thick at about 1/2 inch thick at its widest part near the top. The loop is a nice 4 wire loop measuring about 1/4 inch (.5 cm).

The back of the stone, seen in the second picture, is as beautiful as the front with the deep black contrasting nicely with the grayish blues.
