Vintage Mid Century Desk Lamp is Industrial Chic, from the Eames Era made by Marks Deluxe. This modern metal industrial desk lamp features a curvilinear brass arm with a walnut wood accent that pivots forward and back to direct the light source. The cocoa brown metal desk lamp is a classic design of mid century industrial, and has a saucer shaped lampshade. This vintage lamp by Marks Deluxe is in very good completely original condition, with its black & gold "M" in red, foil label still attached. The flaws are minor, one dent about ¼" long on the side of the base and a few light scuff marks on the shade which are visible in the close up photos, but in reality are not very apparent.
There is also some normal pitting and discoloring of the brass associated with age. The inside of the shade which is ivory shows some discoloration from the light bulb, this is not noticeable when in use. This Marks Deluxe lamp is in great working original condition and uses a standard light bulb.
Overall this vintage desk lamp looks pretty sweet and will be a wonderful mid century accent.

The desk lamp stands about 17" tall, with the shade being approximately 9" in width. The base is approximately 7" wide and 1 ¼" thick. The wooden accent on the brass arm is about 4 ½" long. The base has the original woven fabric to protect your furniture. The electrical cord is dark brown and approximately 5' 8" long. It is very solid, heavy weight and well made.

I am always on the look out for classic mid century design and when I discovered this desk lamp in original working condition at favorite thrift store I was so excited! I couldn't believe some one else hadn't already found it. It turns out they had just put it on display that morning. I saw that it had a couple small flaws, and most of the time I won't even give it another look, but mid century desk lamps like this one of such fine quality are rare to come across. I think it was worth rescuing, it is vintage after all, I don't expect complete perfection and the great lines & style are what it is all about.
