Crackle Glass Hand Blown Vintage Pitcher USA, most likely made in West Va. This vintage crackle glass miniature pitcher could be Rainbow glass or Kanawha. The color is an avocado green a very nice shade that goes well with earth tones or blues. Fill it with red sweetheart roses for a special gift for Christmas, this small size would be perfect for parents or grandparents in a nursing home with limited space. You could or even use it to pour coffee cream or on a special breakfast tray filled with warm Maple syrup when you want to surprise someone with breakfast in bed. This sweet little crackle glass pitcher would be wonderful on a window sill with the sunlight coming through it as the color is amazing in sunlight!

This vintage hand blown pitcher is in excellent condition it has a wide lip and a hand applied handle that ends in a decorative curl. The pontil scar is visible on the bottom.
This crackle glass pitcher stands approximately 3 ½" tall, the lip is 3 5/8" wide and the base is 2 5/8" wide.

When I found this glass crackle pitcher I thought for sure it was also Rainbow, but there were many manufactures making these crackle art glass collectibles, and they are very similar. I suspect it may be Rainbow, but I am not an expert in this collectible so I have left the manufacturer label unmarked. If further research reveals more information I will let you know.

Did you know that Crackle glass was the result of glass that had defects during the firing process, and rather than destroy it artists "cracked" it, by tapping the glass which created the lovely crackle effect and disguised the flaws.
