Vintage cocktail glasses set of four, from Fostoria. Dolly Madison known for her hospitality was the inspiration for these vintage cocktail or Liquor glasses from the Famous Crystal manufacturer. You will love sipping an old fashioned cocktail or champagne from these elegant Federal Style glasses. They would also be quite lovely with a scoop of creamy ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce and fresh raspberries. This set of 4 glasses is in excellent condition, each cocktail glass is approximately 4 3/8' inches tall with a base of 2.5" inches. The top rim flares delicately upward and the stem has nice details that add to a secure grip in your hand, they are very well designed with a cut paneled or thumbprint pattern decorating the bowl. Each cocktail glass will hold approximately 3 ounces, perfect for classic cocktails or for a special wedding toast for the Bride and Groom.

I love discovering unique vintage glassware! Fostoria used the name Dolly Madison for this lovely crystal line because she was known to be a great first Lady and hostess. Using Popular historical figures to market merchandise, proved very successful and this pattern was produced from 1939-1973 and included a profusion of different pieces, among which were candlesticks, mayonnaise bowls, a muffin tray, an olive dish, and cruet set.
