A large Octagon shaped plate in royal blue and purple. The rim is made from opaque royal blue glass and transparent purple glass. The center is made from an iridized glass that has a rainbow of pinks, purples and blues. All have been fused together to make this beautiful one of a kind piece.

The platter measures approximately 11 1/4" inches square (23 cm).

First I precisely cut and assemble pieces of glass to make my design. Next I fire the glass in a kiln to approximately 1500 degrees to fuse the glass into a single piece. I then use a diamond disc grinder to shape the edges and fire the piece again to polish the ground edges. My last step is a final firing where the glass is draped over a mold to give it the final shape.

All of my items are handmade in America in my Roswell, GA studio.
