A pretty rectangle featuring orange gold on a black base. This fused glass pendant was made by fusing three layers of glass - a bottom layer of black, then an orange gold dichroic pattern and finally a layer of clear to give it beautiful depth.

The pendant measures approximately 13/16 x 5/8 inches. It includes an 18 inch black necklace that has a silver plated lobster clasp with a 1.5" extender.

This fused glass pendant was made by cutting and assembling multiple layers of fusible glass and then firing them in a kiln to approximately 1500 degrees. This "fuses" the individual pieces into a single piece of glass. A diamond bit grinder is then used to smooth and shape the edges and the piece is place back into the kiln to "fire polish" the edges. Finally, a specialty two part glue is used to securely attached the glass to the pendant bail.
