Celebrate Eat, Pray, Love with this wonderful handmade wooden necklace. Wearing this bold orange stone and wood bead necklace is almost like traveling the world. The 2-inch bright brass elephant enhances the the rich orange Carnelian and various brown tones of the necklace strand.

The chunky tumbled Carnelian beads have an organic feel which works well with wood beads. The many shapes of wood beads - round, diamond, tube and round - invoke the African savannah.

The finishing touch is a handcrafted toggle clasp made from red lip shell. (See story below).

I started this African influenced necklace almost a year ago. It took me lots of hours wandering through bead stores and searching online before I found just the right clasp to go with this piece. The natural red lip shell clasp was just what I had in mind.

It has a freeform shape, complementary color and enhances the overall natural feel of this one-of-a-kind necklace.
