The General is an old soldier. He is still teaching the younger generation because that's what you do. Retirement is not his way. Telling tells to strangers does not happen, but the occasional shared tale among comrades over a finger (or two) of whiskey might. He has seen more action than he cares to remember, but is proud of his efforts and honored to have served. He would do it again if he body, and the stuffed shirts behind the desks would let him.
