Beautifully feminine in a soft shade of pink, the center cabochon in this bracelet delights the eyes with its marble-patterned dichroic glass in a rainbow of sparkling pastels.

This unique bracelet consists of three pieces of our own handmade fused glass which we've connected and embellished with non tarnish silver plated jewelry wire and finished with two glass seed beads and a silver plated toggle clasp. The center cabochon's dichroic glass has been capped with a layer of clear glass that protects the dichroic and adds visual depth.

Each piece of glass is a solid 1/4" thick and smooth on all edges. The center cab measures approximately 1" by 1-1/2" while the bands are 7/8" wide.

This cuff bracelet, which is intended to be worn loosely, falls into the "Average" to "Large" size range and will comfortably fit wrists up to about 7-1/2".

If you're unsure of your wrist size, simply wrap a tape measure around your wrist at the wrist bone (don't pull it too tight) or use a piece of string or yarn and measure it flat on a ruler.

For comparison purposes, below are standard women's bracelet sizes:
Small = 6.5 inches
Average = 7 inches
Large = 7.5 to 8 inches
X-Large = 8.5+ inches

If you're not familiar with fused glass, it's quite strong when properly fired and while this bracelet could break if dropped from a certain height onto a hard surface (like concrete) the glass will withstand a surprising amount of everyday wear.

We made this bracelet in our home-based glass studio near Dallas, Texas where we use high-quality, compatible glass made in the USA.

We hand cut the glass for each of our bracelets from larger glass sheets then stack the pieces and fuse them together at more than 1450° F using a digitally controlled kiln. Following the initial fusing cycle, we cold work many of our pieces to give them a uniform shape and appearance, then return them to the kiln to be fire polished. After fusing and fire polishing, we fire the glass once again, heating it to a point where it's just soft enough to conform to the shape of our bracelet mold. Each kiln-firing lasts from 11 to 14 hours as glass must be heated and cooled gradually (annealed) to maintain its integrity and prevent cracking.

Given the handmade nature of our wearable art pieces, while we can try to approximate a given design, we can never duplicate a piece exactly. We're also more inclined to create new designs rather than copying prior ones - especially in our dichroic glass items - so if you find a "must have" bracelet here in our studio, please don't hesitate to purchase it before someone else does. We may never make a piece quite like it again.
