We made this cabochon with glittery rainbow-striped dichroic glass, which we fused between a black art glass base and a clear glass top. This piece really loves the light - it sparkles like crazy!

- Approx. 28mm x 25mm or about 1-1/16" x 15/16"
- Approx. 4mm or about 1/8" thick
- No holes or channels
- Flat on the back
- Hand cut, shaped and fire polished
- Smooth, girdled edges great for wire wrapping

This cabochon was made in our home-based glass studio near Dallas, Texas where we use high-quality art glass and dichroic glass to create mini works of handmade art.

We cut and shape each of our cabs by hand and fuse them at over 1400° F. Immediately following the fusing process, our cabochons remain inside the kiln for 6 to 8 hours to cool gradually (or anneal) which makes them strong and durable.

Please be aware that at times, small bubbles form in our cabochons during the firing stage. This is a common occurrence in glass fusing. Happily, these bubbles usually add visual interest to the finished piece
