This bandana-style dog collar slipcover in classic red tartan plaid is a traditional look with a little bit of holiday glitz for Christmas, holidays and special occasions! Made of cotton blend fabric with a shiny metallic appearance, it is lightweight, soft and shimmery. Perfect for holiday photos and parties.

Dog Collar Slipcovers are worn over your pet's existing collar so that you can change the look without changing collars. To wear the slipcover, thread your collar through the channel at the top. On the end near the buckle is a buttonhole opening for the leash loop/D-ring to slide through so that the entire collar is covered (5th photo). This also helps to prevent the slipcover from sliding around on the collar.

Because this fabric is a bit slippery, a decorative button and elastic loop have been added to help keep the slipcover in place (see 4th photo). A more masculine button can be substituted for the boys upon request.

- Made of pre-washed, 85% cotton/15% metallic fabric - handwashing is recommended

- Triangle-shaped; all seams are neatly finished with no raw edges showing.

Sizing is based on the length of your dog's collar in one inch increments and the amount of gathering desired. Choose a size about 2 to 3 inches longer than your dog's collar for a moderate amount of gathering. A longer slipcover will create more gathers.

- Large: approximately 19 inches long with a 7 inch drop from the top edge to the point of the bandana - worn by my Westie, Keli over a 16 inches long x 3/4 inch wide collar (3rd photo)

- Medium:approximately 17 inches long with a 6 inch drop from the top edge to the point of the bandana - worn by my Wauzer, Penny over a 14 inches long x 3/4 inch wide collar (1st photo)
