This beauty of a necklace was created with three strands of freshwater pearls: 2 strands of a rich raspberry color and one of glorious white with a raspberry colored one every third pearl. The luster of these pearls are superb! When the light hits them, they almost look like they have their own energy source because their glow is so intense. Since these are freshwater pearls, they are not perfectly round. Instead they are various oval shapes, averaging about 8mm in size. Some have a somewhat flat side, which is perfectly acceptable for freshwater pearls. The shapes of the pearls, when twisted together, provides such fabulous texture. To add even more glow to BERRY-LISCIOUS, sterling silver 2mm beads were scattered every third pearl and frames the raspberry pearls in the white strand. To add a little fun to the end of the strands, I used only white freshwater pearls.

The pearls were strung on 49-strand plastic-coated steel jewelers wire. The strands were then carefully twisted and secured in a "forever" twist. This means the twist will not come undone when the necklace is taken off.

To add a neat finish to the multi-strand necklace, the three strands of pearls were gathered into sterling silver cones. The cones themselves have a twist design on them The cones were then capped with sterling silver daisy spacers and sterling silver 2mm beads and were wire-wrapped with sterling silver wire onto a sterling silver s-clasp set. The design on the s-clasp matches the cones for a perfect finish!

Since pearls are believed to spread loving vibrations, they traditionally have been given to loved ones for centuries. They also are a sign of sincerity, loyalty and truth. Sterling silver is the metal of love and healing.

When I first saw the color of the raspberry colored pearls, I knew immediately that the necklace would be named BERRY-LISCIOUS. I didn't want the necklace to be all one color, so chose a creamy white strand to twist with two strand of the berry colored pearls. What a wonderful combination! Since pearls are said to spread loving vibrations, this necklace makes a fabulous Valentines Day gift!
