FOR YOUR LOVE is a beautifully unique pair of Valentines or Mothers Day handmade earrings. These one of a kind (OOAK) gemstone beauties were created with sparkly white marble hearts, faceted pyrite and sterling silver. Not your average heart jewelry! But because these earrings are unique, and not so obviously "Valentines", they can be worn year round with dress up or dress down clothing. The FOR YOUR LOVE earrings were carefully handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs.

The highlight of these earrings are definitely the white marble hearts. If you hold the hearts in your hand and move them back and forth in the light, you will see LOTS of tiny sparkles! Well, was I ever surprised when I took photographs and some of the sparkles actually showed up, probably due to the flash. Take a close look at the photos and you'll see small spots of sparkle! Bonus! White marble is known for its sparkly crystal inclusions. In fact the word "marble" probably comes from the Greek word "marmairo" which translates to "flash, sparkle or gleam". Sterling silver 2 mm beads frame the top and bottom of the hearts.

To add more sparkle of a different type, I added fabulous faceted pyrite (often called "fool's gold") to the top of the hearts. Because of the facets, lots of flash there! I think it's a great combination with the sparkles of the white marble hearts. A sterling silver 2 mm bead caps the pyrite.

To finish FOR YOUR LOVE, the main body of the earrings were strung on sterling silver headpins. The headpins were then carefully wire-wrapped and connected to sterling silver French hook earwires.

White Marble is a stone of love, inner peace, harmony and balance. It is also believed to enhance compassion for all living things. Pyrite helps one to communicate more openly and honestly, providing both emotional and physical strength, helping to increase self confidence. It is a highly protective stone, blocking negative energies from other people. It is also a traditional stone for money and good luck. Silver is the metal of love and healing.

From the subtle sparkle of the white marble hearts to the more bodacious sparkle of the faceted pyrite, these FOR YOUR LOVE earrings are amazing fun to wear! They are definite eye catchers!

To tell the truth, I am not a jewelry "heart" person - unless the hearts are different. When I found these hearts at a recent sale, I was about to pass them up until I found out they sparkle! Who can pass up sparkle??? I wanted to add something unique to them so used the faceted pyrite. FOR YOUR LOVE is my type of heart earrings :)
