HANDMADE BLACK FUSED AND RED COPPER PENDANT W 3 SPIRALS - artisan jewelry by Shanghai Tai:

This handmade fused glass pendant is one of a kind (OOAK). It has a black background. I made a design out of three spirals that I made from copper wire. Then I fused the spirals underneath a clear glass layer. This turned out way cooler than I thought it would. The copper turned a beautiful shade of red from the heat of the kiln.

I call this pendant "Where the Red Fern Grows" (after the book, of course) because the red spirals look the the tendrils of a red fern unfurling. The red fern does not exist today, but it does exist in Native American legend. The red fern can only be planted by angels, and the spot where it grows is sacred.

The pendant is about 1" square not counting the wire bail. The bail opening is almost 5 mm in diameter.
