FILAGREE EARRINGS, GOLD PEARL, IRIS (IRIDESCENT/PEACOCK) CRYSTAL, NIOBIUM EAR WIRE, BOHEMIAN STYLE:

These handmade earrings are inspired by the genuine cultured freshwater pearls*. They are not high quality pearls, but they are large and organic looking. The cool thing about them is since they are not perfect, you can tell they're the real thing. They are dyed (or irradiated) to give them a dark gold color. They have a very earthly look. Since freshwater pearls do not naturally come in gold, these pearls have been either dyed or irradiated to give them their beautiful shade of dark gold.

I imagined these pearls in a romantic, gypsy style earring, with filigree. These filigree bead caps I found are bronze, and look great with the pearls.

The earrings needed a little sparkle, so I added a couple of roundel crystals on each one. These crystals are not Swarovski, I don't know what brand they are -- I picked them up at a gem show, but the peacock/iris color looks great with the bronze bead caps and the gold pearls.

I can picture these earrings right at home on a beautiful gypsy girl, dancing around the campfire that the caravan wagons are all circled around. The firelight dancing off the crystals.

The ear wires look like copper or bronze, but they are rally niobium* (a relative of titanium). If you have sensitive ears you should not have a problem with this, if you do you can return them for a refund or a replacement. I am confident you won't have a problem with them.

These earrings are approximately 2" long. The last picture shows a dime to give you an idea of the size.
