Mens or Unisex fused pendant, reversible, copper wire wrapped, green spiral textured, green and white reverse - handcrafted artisan jewelry by Shanghai Tai: This pendant is reversible. One side is a thick, textured spiral in dark forest green. The other side is domed, and mostly green, with a little white and even a tiny bit of blue. It has a large mottled pattern that makes me think of the surface of a still pond.

Each pendant is individually handmade by me. The glass is fused in a kiln at almost 1500 degrees F. This particular pendant was fused with the green side down on a texture plate. This put the spiral texture on the green side. The green, white and blue side, which was up during fusing, then became domed. I use glass that is COE compatible and the glass is properly annealed for strength and durability. After the glass cabochon is finished, I grind a groove along the side and wire wrap it with copper wire. I make the bail out of the same wire. Each pendant is unique and one of a kind (OOAK).

The pendant is 1" square, not counting the copper bail. The bail opening is almost 4mm in diameter. Even though it is made of glass, it is very thick and sturdy. (I have dropped these many times and have yet to break one.)

Although the copper is still shiny in this photograph, it will oxidize and age to a beautiful brown copper color.

Because it is reversible, this pendant is very versatile and should give you twice as many opportunities to wear it. It would look great with a casual outfit or even at the office.

All pendants come with a 2mm waxed cotton cord. If you would like to upgrade to a copper chain, or a brown leather or rubber cord, those are sold separately. Check the "afterthoughts" section of my studio if you would like something a little better to hang it on.
