Pinkie is made with 3/4" Furniture PVC and uses a 12" OD wheel chair wheel which has two ball bearing so it turns very easily.

The orifice is 20-1/2" from the floor.

It comes with 3 Babe standard bobbins whose ratio is 3 1/4:1
2 lazy kates
Spinning Babe's Booklet
1/4 pound of Brown Sheep roving
Babe's Sure Foot to keep it from sliding on the floor.

The wood treadle is for the smaller foot, measures 4" wide X 9" long; however, I found the larger foot will work if you turn the wheel so your foot will be on the diagonal of the treadle. Measures 15" X 10-1/2" X 22-1/2".

I found a pinkie wheel used and I figured "what the heck" right? It is a cheap wheel and I could always resell it.

But I LOVE it. It travels in the back seat of my car strapped into the seat belt. I use it to teach new spinners on because with the standard bobbins it is a nice slow wheel for beginners but I personally use the high speed bobbins. It will pack into a suitcase for shipping, it travels well in a car in the front floorboard. I have even taken it to work and slid it under the desk to spin in the slow times.

While it may not be the only wheel you ever want to own, it makes great beginning wheel for a nice price. I have spun lace weight to bulky singles on mine.

This is a great wheel for a small price. The Babe Pinkie is a great wheel for travel or a young spinner. While it is small, it can spin anything a larger wheel can spin. What a deal!
