Turquoise blue with hints of pale raspberry pink streaks. These handmade lampwork glass spacer beads are made from one rod of glass, the streaky pink is part of the reaction of the copper in the glass to the heat and flame chemistry of the torch.

The chemistry, and the way the heat and percentage of oxygen mixing with the propane changes the glass as it melts is one of the things that I find most interesting about working with glass.

These beads have a MATTE finish and are NOT shiny.

Made on a 3/32nd inch mandrel and will fit a thin cord and almost all wire gauges.

All glass beads are handmade by me in my home studio and kiln annealed for durability and strength. However, they are made of glass and care should be taken as with any items made with glass.
