Handmade silver earrings with pretty bright turquoise colored howlite beads. I chose to pair the the howlite with pretty, deep ruby red glass beads and a fun and whimsical set of bead caps that have a flower and grape cluster design. Tiny seed beads in a paler red, with a pretty iridescent shine for a bit of added sparkle were added to the bottom of the earrings.

Please note that the turquoise stones are not true turquoise, they are a stone called howlite that has been dyed to this lovely shade of blue. Howlite is frequently dyed to mimic other stones as it holds the color very well and mimics many of the other stones lines and striations.

Turquoise blue and ruby red is one of my favorite color combinations, especially when paired with silver. The earwires and the bead caps in this piece are silver plated.

The earrings are 2 1/4 inch long from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the earrings. These are not heavy earrings to wear and dangle nicely.
