This Pineapple Doily is hand crocheted. It measures approximately 12 inches across and has been stiffened. It is made of 100% cotton ecru thread. It is one of the first items I made when I picked up my crochet hook again. If you would like a distinctive Victorian or Shabby Chic look to a room or even just one table this doily will contribute to that look. Ecru is defined by the Wikipedia as being a grayish yellow brown and lends itself to Victorian décor. Sometimes housewives would soak their doily or muslin in tea to achieve this color. It is compared to beige in the Wikipedia.
