This original mixed media wall hanging is a 6" x 10" art print of a portrait painting which has been mounted on a 3/4" thick wood panel. It is highly textured with collaged art paper, text paper, oil pastels which have been melted onto the board, hand-dyed cheesecloth, acrylic paint, and then sealed with a thin layer of natural beeswax which has been melted over it.

It is subtle and intricate, and the surface is very textured, making one want to reach out and touch it.

The edges of the wood are stained and the piece is ready to hang up (or place on a display easel) and enjoy immediately.

Though it will not melt under normal circumstances, care should be taken to keep it out of direct sunlight and extremes of heat because of the pastels and wax. It can be cleaned by gently wiping with a damp cloth.

It will come with hanging hardware included. Every effort will be made to cushion it well for shipping so that it arrives safely to your location.
