Corriedale sheep are the result of a cross between Lincolns and possibly Leicesters (long wool breeds) and Merino sheep. Corriedale wool is a reliable multi-purpose fiber that is medium soft with well-defined even crimp, which means it has a lot of loft and elasticity. I included a couple of close-up photos so you could see the crimp in this fiber.

This fiber was dyed in the crock pot using professional acid dyes (plain white vinegar is the "acid" used to set the dye) in colors of Purple, Gun Metal and Periwinkle.

The staple length on this fiber is about 3 inches.

Perfect for carding or blending for spinning or use it to wet felt or for needle felting.
