Have fun in your garden this season by adding a bright purple and turquoise art glass butterfly. When the flowers fade, you'll be happy to see color from this whimsical handmade textured, three dimensional garden art.

The white body has a dusting of purple with opaque turquoise overlays and accented with turquoise dots.

Measuring approximately 3.5" wide by 4" tall, it's copper wires bend around a small tree or shrub branch outdoors. You can also decorate your interior walls with this colorful butterfly - simply hang it from T-pins on your wall or office cubicle.

My butterflies make a fabulous decoration in a child's room and have been known to receive ooh's and ah's from many a gift recipient.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I used to painstakingly copy butterflies exactly from my Butterfly Encyclopedia, and would be happy to do that for you. I prefer to play with color and make up fun crazy combinations of butterflies that I want to see in my garden.

Each is made one at a time so no two are exactly alike. I hand cut each of the wings and body, then pour fun combinations of colorful powdered glass on top. After drawing lines and placing dots it is carefully moved into my kiln and heated just until it bonds, retaining texture.
