This handcrafted item was made when I took an unglazed ceramic tile, painted it with acrylic paint in a light purple/lavender shade, then used white paint to draw the word Namaste and an OM symbol.

Namaste... respectful greetings, best regards, the spirit in me honors the spirit in you... these are a few of the meanings when the word is spoken. In Sanskrit, "namas" means bow or reverential salutation, and ""te" menas "to you" - the word namaste has the literal interpretation of "I bow to you." The word namaste can also be used with meditation or yoga practice as a way of helping to go deeper into the heart chakra, the heart center.

OM... Considered by some to be the whole universe contained in a sound that brings together body, mind, and spirit. The sound of creation, a mantra used in contemplation of ultimate reality, Om or Ohm or Aum is considered by many to be a sacred sound.

The tile is approximately 3.75 inches square (9.5 cm square). After being painted with acrylic paint, tile was baked to set the paint and then covered with a sealer. Felt tabs have been placed on the bottom corners of the tile to protect surfaces.

The tile in the picture is the tile you'll get - handcrafted imperfections and all! The tile I used wasn't a glazed tile, and there are small indentations as part of the tile's surface.

* Not dishwasher-safe, not heat resistant. Clean with a damp cloth.
