10 tree swallows flock around the meandering branches of some swamp trees with heart-shaped leaves in front of a patch of pink-petaled calla lilies. The background gradates with soft hazy magenta, mauve, lilac, light lavender, and soft sage. It's a whimsical and surreal illustration that combines my drawings with my paintings. It's got storybook charm and lots of color: magenta, mauve, lilac, light lavender, soft sage, teal blue, soft pink, and burnt umber.

This is a digital print. The original image is a digital collage. A black and white pen & ink drawing was scanned into Photoshop where it was manipulated with color and texture fills, and fills created from scans of my drawings and paintings. Since the "original" image is digital, the only physical form in which it exists is as a print. The image size is 8 inches by 10 inches, which is printed on an 8.5 by 11 inch piece of bristol. Bristol is an archival quality acidofree artist's material, it has a smooth matte surface and is similar in thickness to a piece of posterboard. This print was printed on an Epson printer with ultrachrome ink, which is fade resistant and non-acidic. This is an open edition print which is signed (Sarah Knight) in black ink in the lower right-hand corner. The image that appears in this listing does not display a signature. Each print is signed individually.
