Strips of copper are formed- This is called anti-clastic forming. That is when a concave curved is formed then that curve is curved. All hand shaped by myself, blisters on my hand to prove it! They are still lightweight considering the width and stay in place. This pair is one of my custom blends Rose and Pink. Numerous shades are layered to produce this color. Polish sterling handcrafted ear wires.
Total drop: a bit over 1-3/8"
Hoop width: a bit under 1/4" wide
Across with hoop: a bit over 1-1/16"
When putting these earrings on the earwire is set up so you can gently flex the wire and the back end will pop into the hole on the hoop back, you do not have to bend the wire. Do not flex/stretch the hoop to have it reach over the earwire. Think of enamel as glass. It does not like to be bent. I have found starting below the hole in the hope helpful then the pulling up until it pops in the whole.

Enameling is fusing glass to metal, in this case copper. Each piece is fired multiple times including the back.
