The top is machine pieced in the Single Irish Chain pattern of blue prints and solid white. The layers are hand sewn together in a diamond pattern. The photos show the detail of the hand stitching. The folded "Jagged Edge" border creates the perfect finishing touch to this work.

This would make a lovely gift for a newborn baby and will provide many years of comfort and warmth. This quilt is large enough to be used as a bed quilt for an infant and toddler. The colors and patterns will be suitable for the recipient through his or her life.

It is also a good size to be used by an adult as a lap quilt or to wrap around arms and shoulders or legs and feet. The pattern and colors are also very suitable for an adult.

This quilt is 100% cotton. With occasional gentle washing and drying (no chlorine bleach, please), this quilt will last for many years.

If you have a particular request for a similar quilt in different colors, I will take custom orders. This takes quite a bit of time, considering all of the hand stitching, so please order well ahead of the date of the event.
