1/2 ounce of beautiful, soft and shiny angora luxurious ADULT mohair for all artist dolls and other mohair crafts. This hair is DARK AUBURN RED in color and GORGEOUS with a fine fiber that is curly.

This hair is from the goat named LUCY and never disappoints! It is 4-4 3/4 inches in length. I've been buying Lucy's hair since her first clipping. She is one amazing goat! (I would NEVER recommend adult mohair for dolls but Lucy hair is an amazing exception.)

I have been reborning life like baby dolls since the spring of 2005 and have only ever purchased raw hair from the same Oregon farm as I find it to be the absolute ~Best~ Premium Angora mohair on the earth.

This gorgeous mohair is always soft and silky, never brittle, and has a lustrous shine. I promise that this hair is not loaded down with a bunch of conditioners that make it gorgeous at first only to disappoint later. This hair does not need all of those heavy conditioners and remains beautiful throughout the rooting process and for many years after you send the doll on to its adoptive mommy.

This premium mohair lies flat, is not frizzy or flyaway.

The curly hair is lovely no matter what amount of curl it has.

Most of the locks are between 5-7 inches and when processed and there is a light colored band ring at the cut end of the lock. I have begun to cut most of it off as it saves me a little time in processing (I prefer to root with it fully on but Ive just got to manage my time better) but Ive left just enough so that my customers know for sure which end is the cut end. And for the tip to end rooters, you can root that light area right into the head for a more natural rooting job.

Each and every lock is handled and processed on an individual basis by hand. I do not just dump it all into the washer for dying washing and dying! In fact, I do not use the washer and I only use Acid Dyes made for mohair fibers.

My mohair will not bleed or fade.

For more than 6 years I have purchased raw angora mohair from the same Eastern Oregon Farm. It took me about 2 years to get good at processing this lovely fiber for the use on reborn dolls. Now that I have it down to an art, I like to share the gorgeous hair with others. Its real hard, physical work as I work with each lock individually, but it is so worth the effort the end!
