This pattern contains instructions to knit, crochet detail, the above pictured sweater. The pattern is vintage 1956 from McCalls. Surprise -- the hood and sweater are one ! Ribbed sleeves and yoked hood are set into a patterned pullover. The pattern is sized 12 to 16. Instructions are for size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 in parentheses.

MATERIALS:
- Bear Brand or Fleisher's "Jiffy" Nylon 'n Wool, 7 (7-8) 2-oz. skeins white (A); 3 (3-4) skeins navy (B).
- Plastic knitting needles Nos. 8 and 10. (Or English sizes 5 and 3.)
- Plastic crochet hook No.6.

GAUGE: 5 sts=l"; 7 rows=l" (back and front pat). 3 sts=l"; 18 ows=2"
(blocked sleeve pat).
