Small Crocheted Flower Basket Pattern with Ribbon

Details

Crochet Flower Basket: This pattern contains instructions to crochet the basket pictured. A sweet basket, with base, handle and ribbon woven through the handle and base. Such a basket would not only be great for flower display, but one could also insert a light lining and use for potpourri, candy, or whatever trinkets may suit you. The pattern, vintage 1945 from Coats Clark, does not actually state the size, but from looking at the picture, I would think around 10-12 high by 8 wide.

Materials:
- J&P Coats or Clarks ONT Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30, 1 small ball.
- Steel Crochet Hook No 10 or 11
- 1 yard ribbon

I have digitally reworked this vintage public domain pattern to produce a clean, easy to read, (1 1/2 inch line spacing) document and then converted to a PDF file (not a photocopy). The file will be sent to you by Email (NO Shipping Costs). You can open with an Adobe Reader and refer to the pattern from your screen, or print.

The PDF file will be forwarded to your email address within 12 hours.

Thanks for stopping by.

The majority of the knit and crochet patterns in my shop are in PDF format. These vintage patterns are from newspapers, magazines and pattern books ranging between the 1930s and very early 1970's. I duplicate only Public Domain Patterns.

Originally, I simply scanned the patterns. But, often - as patterns from magazines and books were often spread over numerous pages - the end result was unattractive and, honestly, a bit difficult to read. (Old, possible damaged, paper scans and looks like old paper). So, I started experimenting with different ways to process these old patterns.

I ended up with a process where the patterns are scanned to a word document, carefully proofed and then reformatted back to a pattern with larger print (no more magnifying glasses needed) and 1 lines sentence spacing, and then converted to a PDF document. This is a labor intensive process, however, it results in an Easy-to-Read, Easy-to-Use document that I am proud to preserve and offer. I do put a copyright mark on the pattern you will receive, but Note: I am referencing the format of the pattern only. These are public domain patterns and you may create and sell the items you make. I only ask, that you do not resell the pattern in my reworked format.

Now, that said, I had entered approx. 900 patterns in my shop before arriving at the rework decision. I am in the process of reworking every pattern in the shop to the new format. I estimate this will take 3 - 4 months. You can tell whether or not a pattern is in the old or new format in the description. Old format descriptions indicate - I have scanned this pattern to a PDF file - versus - I have digitally reworked this pattern.

It is my hope you will enjoy working with these re-digitized vintage patterns, and visit me often. I list new patterns almost daily.
